Researches Experiences

Research on Image Compressed Sensing & Iterative Threshold Reconstructing Algorithm

This is my graduation project for the Bachelors degree. I work on this project for half a year and the research was basically based on compressed sensing, one of the most popular signal processing techniques currently. Theoretically, compressed sending is a method to sample and compress the dignal at the same time. It's nature is observations using linear mapping. See more details on Github.

Contributions:

  • Learned the principle of compressed sensing and the two reconstructing algorithms
  • Designed experiments to compare those algorithms with different parameters
  • Wrote my bachelor's thesis based on it

Long-term Emotional Pressure Measurement out of Multi-source Sensing Fusion

This a project led by Professor Xiaofen Xing at South China University of Tech. Click here to review the project homepage. This project aimed at detecting the existence of human's emotional pressure through wearable devices, and set up a database containing the users' physiological data. See more details on Github.
This project also won the Excellence Award in National College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program.

Contributions:

  • Looked for a mathematical model that can measure the degree of emotional pressure based on the wearable devices
  • Processed the original signal collected by the hardware
  • Established a usable filtering system in MATLAB
  • Wrote a Java program to manage and synchronize the collected data
  • Wrote a website for this project

Innovative Entrepreneurship Teaching Theory Based on the Model of “ADDIE Internet+”

This was a project aiming in assisting the researchers at South China University of Tech, so my role here was actually a research assistant. We collected data of the status quo of entrepreneurship teaching in China's universities and finally published a paper.

Contributions:

  • Collected the questionnaire from the schools on Innovative Entrepreneurship Teaching Theory System
  • Studied the cases of Innovative Entrepreneurship Teaching Theory System Based on "ADDIE Internet +" Model
